Terms of Service

1. The service

Pixnex provides tools to compress, convert and resize images. The tools run in your web browser, so results depend on your device and browser. Some formats or settings may not be available in every browser, and very large files can fail on devices with limited memory.

We work to keep Pixnex available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". Always keep your original files: processing creates new files and doesn't change your originals, but we can't guarantee every output will meet your needs.

2. Your images

You keep all rights to your images. Because processing happens on your device, we don't receive them. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use and change the images you process.

3. Accounts

• You don't need an account to use the free tools. An account is needed for a paid plan.
• Give accurate details, keep your password secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
• You must be at least 13 to create an account and at least 18 to buy a paid plan.

4. Acceptable use

Don't:

• use Pixnex for anything unlawful, or to process images you have no right to use
• try to get around plan limits, payments or security measures, or access other people's accounts or data
• overload, disrupt, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or use automated means to create accounts or payment requests

5. Paid plans and payments

• Prices. Prices are in pounds sterling and shown on the pricing page. The amount you pay is fixed when you start a payment request, even if prices change afterwards.
• How to pay. Paid plans are paid by UK bank transfer. Send the exact amount and quote your payment reference so we can match it. Your bank may charge its own fees.
• Activation. We activate your plan once we've confirmed the money has arrived in our account. Telling us you've paid doesn't activate a plan by itself.
• Period. Each payment buys a fixed number of days, shown before you pay. Plans don't renew automatically and nothing is charged without you making a new transfer. Paying again before your plan ends adds the new period on top of the time you have left.
• Switching plans. If you pay for a different plan while one is active, unused time on the old plan is added to the new one.
• Payments we can't match. If we receive money we can't match to a payment request, or reject a payment request after receiving money, we'll return it to the account it came from.

Cancellation and refunds

If you're a consumer, you can cancel a paid plan within 14 days of buying it. By asking us to activate your plan straight away, you agree that if you cancel in that time we'll refund the amount paid minus a proportionate amount for the days you've already had. To cancel, contact us at contact@dev-nex.com with your payment reference. We'll refund by bank transfer within 14 days.

After 14 days, payments aren't refundable except where the law requires, or where Pixnex has a fault we can't fix. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

6. Suspension and closing accounts

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example in cases of fraud, a reversed payment or abuse of the service. If we close an account with paid time remaining for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused time.

7. Changes

We may change Pixnex and these terms. If a change significantly affects paid account holders, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect. Changes never reduce a period you've already paid for.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that aren't provided with reasonable care and skill, and these terms don't affect them.

We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for loss of data you could have avoided by keeping your original files. If you use Pixnex for business purposes, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem.
